LAHEMAA HEALTH SCHOOL

Lahemaa health school is a private free-educational school for adults, situated in Lahemaa National Park, Vihula, Joandu village, Põdralõpe. At the moment classrooms are situated and practical activities take place in Tallinn and Tartu. We can give courses everywhere in Estonia. The school was founded in summer 2003 and has the license of the Ministery of Education nr. 3964 since 04.08.2003.

Main activities of the health school are:

* Give supplementary education in the field of massage
* Offer the possibility to attend courses of several alternative healing methods, - knowledge and -techniques, including the usage of music and other creative activities;
* Offering short courses and activities for propagating health- promoting activities.

The course aims to give as thorough overview of the subject as possible, the ability to see connections with the philosophical side of the alternative medicine and look for connections with other healing methods. The health school wants to unite people living in accordance with nature, appreciating health and willing to help other people through their activity. At the same time we are trying to help the beginners in this field.
Health school hopes to cooperate with enterprising people of the district, evaluate life in the country, participate in the health tourism and participate in general preventative activities.
SCHOOL

In Lahemaa Health School it is possible to study according to the following programs:
1. Classical massage: Including the preliminary, advanced and higher level courses and testing of the movement of muscles and joints
2. Oriental massage: Including 3 levels of the japanese massage yumeiho, 3 courses of zone therapy or reflexology and Chinese Traditional Medicine.

To become a student it is necessary to fill in the blanket and pass the whole studium during 3 years. For students there is 26% discount. Main language of the studium is Estonian but most of the subjects can be taken also in Russian and English or through a translator. Subjects can be taken as separate courses and later they can be included into the studium. People having graduated from this school get a certificate that is valid everywhere in Estonia and being in concordance with the professional standard of masseurs, those subjects are taken into account when applying for the profession of masseur.

COURSES

In addition to the subjects in the studium it is possible to get knowledge about disciplines concerning our everyday healthy life - honey massage, sauna therapy and ancient Egiptian massage. Those wanting to study more profoundly one special concept of the world, have also not been forgotten. For example in addition to the Chinese Traditional Medicine it is also possible to study tuina massage. We plan to invite interesting lecturers from outside the school.

MASSAAGE

It is possible to experience all the massages yourself under the hand of teachers from Võsu and Tallinn.
